Jane Endres---
---made dreams come true. Her magic started the HAHN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The USAF brought the ENDRES family to Germany in the late 70's, before color yearbooks.

JANE and her family lived in Hundsheim, a village near Morbach in the Hunsrück Mountains, far away from their families in the US.

The ENDRES children went to school at Hahn Air Base, like so many other American dependents over the years. The communities, the base, the housing areas and schools became cherished memories to these many students after they returned to the States or went to other bases and other countries.

The communities, the base, the housing areas and schools became cherished memories to these many students after they returned to the States or went to other bases and other countries. These memories became blurred, with everyone scattered over the world, remembering "their" high school, "their" base, "their" village, and on and on.

Lives and times changed.
Memories faded.
It was hard to remember what was real and what was imagined.
For many, there was an empty space in their lives.

Then, the little girl who moved to Germany with her parents did something to help renew memories and fill the empty spaces. With her efforts, hundreds of former Hahn Hawks have become re-acquainted through the HAHN ALUMNI ASSOCIATION. There are now student reunions and contacts all over the world. This is thanks to JANE, the one who makes dreams come true. Not only hers, but for hundreds of others. Her recent marriage to Peleti Peleti, Jr., in October 1999, is another fulfillment of her dreams.

The base and school are gone now. The villages are changed, the housing areas are totally different. No person can go back to "how it used to be." Except, of course, by living in the memories perpetuated by JANE'S tireless efforts.

Many others have joined in the effort of keeping Jane's dream alive. Her magic has inspired so many. Our deepest appreciation to you, Jane.

Denny Mather, for all of us.
